What Will My Visit Cost?
When you have an exam at Soma Vision Center, you are not receiving just another "routine eye exam". While most eye doctors schedule their exams for 10-20 minutes, depending on the reason for your visit, examinations at our clinic are scheduled for 30-45 minutes of time with the doctor. Additionally, the technician will spend 30-60 minutes of time performing tests and getting your history before you see the doctor. Plan to spend 1.5-2 hours when you come for your appointment.
Because exams are scheduled for 2-3 times longer than a routine eye exam in order to perform needed special tests, and give you time with the doctor, exams do cost more, and are not covered in full by your routine eye insurance or medical insurance.
$175 - Examination for chronic headaches without migraines and light sensitivity.
$275 - Examinations for chronic migraines, chronic light sensitivity, or vertigo.
The examination cost is due the day of your visit.
We then balance bill which means we do not discount our exams based on what your insurance will pay. We are in network with many medical insurance companies and will file insurance for the visit. Any amount we are re-reimbursed we will re-reimburse you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions regarding our billing policy.
